The Unlearning Channel Podcast
To inspire critical awareness of white supremacy by challenging, re-contextualizing, & broadening perceptions of race, identity, culture & diaspora.
The unlearning channel was recorded in Mohkinstis (Calgary, Alberta), on Treaty 7 territory, home of the Nitsitapii – the Blackfoot Confederacy which includes the Siksika, Piikani and Kainai nations. We also recoganize the Tsuut’ina Dene, the Stoney îyârhe Nakodabi (Wesley, Chiniki and Bearspaw) and the Metis Nation of Albera, Region III. We are continually learning the true history of Indigenous peoples, our positionalities and responsbilities as arrivants on stolen lands, and unlearning white supremacy culture–one podcast at a time.

jaqs gallos aquines is an anti-racist consultant and facilitator for kapwacalling cultural change and community organizer. Currently based out of Tkaranto, the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt, she is doing her Masters in Public Policy and Law at York University. Dedicated to organizational and cultural change she is a member of the Cultural Instigators, based out ofMohkínstsis/Wincheesh-pah/Kootsisáw (Calgary, AB), where jaqs collaborates with 9 activist/artists from Treaty 7 to explore what an anti-racist future could look like.
